We are doing a topic about the 6 thinking hats and Samorost.

Black Hat: When you can’t pass a stage, it gets really annoying, when you don’t know what to do.

Yellow Hat: Samorost is a good game because it is an educational game, and it uses your brain alot.

Red Hat: The game made me feel annoyed when I couldn’t pass the stage, but I get happy when I finished it.

Green Hat: We used pictures, letters and all types of objects from old magazines. We used it to make our own Samorost background.

White Hat: Samorost is probably the best educational game through the internet.

So those are my thoughts for Samorost 1 and 2. Please comment and leave your thoughts.  I couldn’t think a thought for the blue, maybe you can help me.

Yesterday, 14th of June we wrote about Samorost, the scene where the anteater appears. These are the sentences I liked most about my writing.

I was a mouse at the time, afraid of seeing what was out there. As time passed, I sat there thinking.

That was the part I  liked most, because there was a metaphor that I learnt in class. I liked other people’s sentences too.

Swinging from a chain in the round, brown sphere, I felt sick and dizzy. Squeaking and screeching, the sphere suddenly came to a stop. I thumped onto the floor of the metal ball. I grabbed the metal window and pulled myself up like a baby trying to stand…….. That was Sharon’s sentence, I liked her simile.

I decided to explore a bit more. I walked a few metres to my right and saw roots that were tangled up like a dozen cords all trying to get into the one power point……..  That was Ramiz’s sentence, I liked the cord bit.

 I peered through a little window and caught a glimpse of a large forest, inhabited with fungi, moss and mushrooms spread across the forest floor like butter on toast …….. That was Gloria’s sentence.

Those were the three sentences I liked most out of all my classmates.

Samorost is an online game that has no rules, it is a very good game, but you have to use your brain. Sometimes it gets annoying if you can’t get to the next level, there is a link on the Allstars main page, if you want to try it.

We start on a planet called Samorost(the planet), and a space ship is nearly colliding with the planet. They were about to crash the planet, and the spaceman went to stop them, but the people on the ship didn’t know. So the spaceman used his mini-rocket ship to get on the ship. When he landed, he was below the hill, so we had to get him back up and to the control center. When he got there, he turned the driving wheel and the ship missed the planet just in time. Then the spaceman goes back to his rocket ship and flies back to his planet to rest. If you want to play it then check the link at the top of this post!.

Samorost 2

An alien ship is ruining the peace of Samorost(the planet), the aliens come to steal some fruit, but that doesn’t matter because it just keeps regenerating. Then the spaceman’s dog comes out to bark at them, the aliens dog-nap the dog and run. The spaceman chases them all the way back to their planet. The spaceman tries to get through many places to get back to his pet. If you want to play it then click on Samorost 2.

That is all I got up to, I couldn’t finish Samorost 2 but it shall be continued when I do finish. I hope I can finish and tell you the rest. If you have any questions then you can ask me.

This time the debate is against Hampton Park Public School. It is held on 14th June. I hope we win, I heard they were pretty good last time, and my friends nearly lost last year. I hope we can beat them. If we can’t then I don’t think we can make it in the finals. I am first speaker for the affirmative team, Natalie is second speaker, Yilmaz is third speaker and Martin is team advisor. I hope we win after our first loss, it is going to be held at our school.
